Fleming College's Department of Athletics and Recreation is seeking a Men's Volleyball Head Coach.
Fleming College is a proud member of the Ontario Colleges Athletics Association (OCAA) and the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA). The Department of Athletics invites applications for the contract (honorarium) position of Head Coach for the Knights Men’s Volleyball Team.
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach is responsible for all duties associated with the operation of the varsity women’s volleyball program. Responsibilities include:
- Technical, tactical, physical and psychological preparation of the team and athletes
- Identification and recruitment of quality student athletes
- Fund raising and promotion of the program
- Compliance with Fleming, OCAA and CCAA regulations
- Provide direction and support to the student-athletes in their pursuit of education and athletic goals
General Aspects of Fleming’s Volleyball Program
- The competitive season begins early September and runs through the end of February.
- The team practices 3 times per week
- Fleming competes in the OCAA East Region- home & away schedule – 20 matches and plays an exhibition series of games and tournaments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum NCCP Level II practical, technical, theory or equivalent
- Two - Five years experience and proven competence as a coach
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong motivational abilities and commitment to fair play
